Stuart Russell is a pioneer in the understanding and uses of arti cial intelligence (AI), its long-term future, and its relation to humanity. He also is a leading authority on robotics and bioinformatics.

Stuart Russell is the author or coauthor of three books on knowledge, reasoning, and machine learning, including the standard textbook on arti cial intelligence. Stuart Russell is a professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences at UC-Berkeley and Adjunct Professor of Neurological Surgery at UC-San Francisco.

Interested in how technology and computation can move lives and economies forward and in turn how this affects education, Conrad is a keen promoter of changing the way mathematicsa is taught in schools, in particular how maths has become almost totally discrepant from its real-world application and in 2010 founded computerbasedmath.org to address this worldwide.

Ian Massingham is a Technical Evangelist at Amazon Web Services and has been working with cloud computing technologies since 2008. In his role works he works to increase the awareness of AWS cloud services and works with customers of all sizes, from start-ups to large enterprises, to help them benefit from the adoption of AWS. He has a special interest in the development of Connected Device and IoT applications, and in architecture patterns for the deployment of large scale gaming platforms in the Cloud.
Ian has almost 20 years’ experience in the IT industry, covering operations and engineering within hosting, telecommunications and cloud service providers. Prior to joining AWS, he lead a systems engineering team for an integrated software and hardware company that focused on the creation of cloud computing services with telecommunications and other IT service providers across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

James Lyne

James Lyne is global head of security research at the security firm Sophos. He is a self-professed ‘massive geek’ and has technical expertise spanning a variety of the security domains from forensics to offensive security. Lyne has worked with many organisations on security strategy, handled a number of severe incidents and is a frequent industry advisor. He is a certified instructor at the SANS institute and often a headline presenter at industry conferences.

Lyne is a big believer that one of the biggest problems of security is making it accessible and interesting to those outside the security industry. As a result, he takes every opportunity to educate on security threats and best practice always featuring live demonstrations and showing how the cyber criminals do it.

Lyne has given multiple TED talks, including at the main TED event. He’s also appeared on a long list of national TV programs to educate the public including CNN, NBC, BBC News and Bill Maher.

As a spokesperson for the industry, he is passionate about talent development, regularly participating in initiatives to identify and develop new talent for the industry.

Garry Kasparov

Garry Kasparov was born in Baku, Azerbaijan, in the Soviet Union in 1963. He became the youngest world chess champion in history in 1985 and was the world’s top-rated player for 20 years, until he retired in 2005. His matches against arch-rival Anatoly Karpov and the IBM supercomputer Deep Blue popularized chess and machine intelligence in unprecedented ways. Kasparov became a pro-democracy leader in Russia and an outspoken defender of individual freedom around the world, a mission he continues as the chairman of the New York-based Human Rights Foundation. He is a Visiting Fellow at the Oxford-Martin School, where his lectures focus on human-machine collaboration. Kasparov is a provocative speaker who appears frequently before business, academic, and political audiences to speak about decision-making, strategy, technology, and artificial intelligence. His influential writings on politics, cognition, and tech have appeared in dozens of major publications around the world. He has written two acclaimed series of chess books and the bestsellers How Life Imitates Chess on decision-making and Winter Is Coming on Russia and Vladimir Putin. His new book, Deep Thinking: Where Machine Intelligence Ends and Human Creativity Begins comes out in May 2017.

In 2016, he was named a Security Ambassador by Avast Software, where he discusses cybersecurity and the digital future. He lives in New York City with his wife Dasha and their two children.

She was formerly a CISO in the public and private sectors, led the security practice at independent analyst firm 451 Research, and helped to launch the Retail Cyber Intelligence Sharing Center in the U.S. A co-author of the “Cloud Security Rules,” she was listed as one of SC Magazine's Women in IT Security "Power Players" in 2014.
