Cloud 2.0: Take Back Control – Make the Cloud work for you

Monday 11 September 2017

After promising to reduce Enterprise IT costs - the public cloud has actually resulted in increased IT costs.

But why is this? According to Gartner, less than 20% of applications have moved to the cloud - this after a decade.  Most of these are newer applications that leverage the clouds’ agility for new customer facing interactions, mobile apps, big data analytics, and SaaS.

However – most traditional enterprise applications have stayed on premises.  This has resulted in another technology silo that only addresses 20% of workloads, but requires additional resources, and new skill sets to manage this new infrastructure, which further stretches reducing IT budgets.

Our session will show how Cloud 2.0 brings the Public Cloud and on premise infrastructure together into a single technology stack with consistent management, governance and control across these silos which streamline IT and reduces costs across 100% of the IT estate.

The enterprise can stay in control of the cloud with superior economics, agility, visibility and governance over who uses what cloud resources - regardless of whether they are on premise clouds, hosted private clouds or across any one of the 15+ public clouds.

This session will be of interest to any organisation that is thinking of moving all or some of their applications to the cloud. We will also show how Cloud 2.0 both reduces IT spend and allows more IT budget to be spent on innovation and activities that drive the business forward, as opposed to the majority being spent on mundane maintenance and “keeping the lights on” activities.
